Which Tiwal model do you have?
I have the deluxe, so I can adjust the sail to refit, I can’t, I don’t know which model that is… Well I have the Tiwal 3!
It’s been about going on a year.
Where do you sail?
I sail in the ocean in, off Miami Beach. I live two blocks away from the beach. I bought your little trailer, your portable trailer. So I keep the boat inflated in my garage and I wheel it down to the beach which takes me 10 minutes and then I assemble it on the beach and I go out and sail my Tiwal 3 small sailboat on the ocean.
Single-handed or double-handed?
I’m usually solo, 90-95% of time I’m solo. When the water’s not too rough my wife will go with me but she doesn’t like to get really wet!
How is it going so far?
It’s been one of the best toys I ever purchased in my life and I’m 64 years old so I’ve had a lot of toys. I’ve boated my whole life and I’ve never had so much fun in a boat.
What characteristics did surprise you?
First of all it’s very attractive looking and I just started watching your videos and I said “God that’s the boat I want, that is great!” because I need, I had to have something that was portable and your little portable trailer there is so lightweight and so easy. I mean I can’t believe how easy it is for me to get to the beach. I mean, literally when I decide to go for a sail, within 30 minutes I’m out on the water that’s I can wheel it down to the beach, have it put up and within 30 or 40 minutes I’m out on the water, so…
You know when I put it together the first time I just couldn’t believe how solid it would be, and how well it performs. You know, I go out in three foot, four foot seas, and how well it just goes over the waves and how easy it is to flip when I flip it over how easy it is to, you know, right it up and how portable it is. I really love the portability.
Where would you dream to sail your Tiwal?
I would love to… We used to go to Bermuda a lot and I’d love to, I’d love to take it with me to Bermuda and… I’d definitely enjoy having it there.
